Test Admin Guide

Enter the basic test information such as the test name and test period, then set up the questions.

Once you invite test takers, you won’t be able to make changes—so please review everything carefully before proceeding.

Available features may vary depending on your plan or test type.

What to do in this step

If you're requesting Grepp’s proctoring service

You’ll need to review the conditions and enter the expected number of test takers.

  • For 5,000 or more test takers, please contact us for a separate consultation.

  • For fewer than 50 test takers, approval may not be granted, or a minimum service fee may apply.


Fields may vary depending on the selected test type.

Please check the details for each type:

  • Scheduled Test

  • Self-paced Test

  • Open Test

  • All test takers start the test at the same scheduled time.

  • Enter the start time and time limit.

If you're requesting Grepp’s proctoring service

  • Set your preferred proctoring date.

  • The date must be at least 14 days from today.

  • Test takers can start the test anytime within the test period.

  • Set the test period and time limit.

  • Once started, the time limit runs continuously and cannot be paused.

  • There’s no fixed test period.

  • You can set individual time windows when inviting test takers.

  • Only the time limit needs to be set in advance.


  • Email

    Test takers will receive a test link by email.

    They can access the test directly from the email.

  • Access Code

    Test takers can access the test by entering the test ID and access code.


  • Click the Set Up Questions button to add questions.

  • You can create your own questions or use pre-loaded questions from Grepp.

  • If you’d like to choose the practice question shown before the test, toggle the switch at the bottom.

    This will activate the Select Practice Question button at the bottom-right of the question setup screen.

What is a Demo Test?

A practice test allows test takers to check their PC environment and get familiar with the test interface before the actual test.

All test takers can take the Demo test before starting the main test.

You can preview it using the Demo Test feature.

Question Selection Screen

  • You can select the type of questions to include.

  • For Monitor (general tests), you can choose from multiple choice, short answer, and essay types.

  • For Programmers (coding tests), you can choose from programming, SQL, database, multiple choice, short answer, and essay types.

  • You can filter questions by programming language, description language, difficulty level, and type.

  • Select Programming LanguagesSelect the programming languages that test takers are allowed to use.

As shown in the example above, even if a question supports multiple languages, only the selected ones (e.g., C++ and Java) will be available to the test taker.

  • Filtered questions will appear here.

  • Click the ‘+’ button on the left of a question to add it to the test.

  • You can find the issue by typing its name in the search box.

  • You can view the question details by clicking its name.

  • At the top, you’ll see key information such as difficulty level, status, and input/output method.

  • You can also view detailed information in the tabs below:

    • Question: View the question text and description.

    • Starter Code: View the initial code provided to the test taker.

    • Test Cases: See the number and types of test cases, as well as guides based on the selected options.

      • For questions without partial scoring, all test cases will be marked as "Partial Scoring Not Allowed" in the table. A guide will be provided accordingly.

      • For questions with partial scoring, the number of test cases allowing partial credit will reflect what was set when the question was created, along with a guide.

      Test takers must pass a minimum number of test cases (as defined for partial scoring) to earn a proportional score based on how many they pass.

    • Statistics: View stats such as the average score, correct answer rate, and score distribution—overall and by language.

  • The total score is displayed at the top.

  • You can apply the same score to all multiple choice and short answer questions.

  • You can remove questions from the test.

  • You can enter individual scores for each question.

  • You can rearrange the order of the questions.
