Preparing for Proctoring

To ensure smooth proctoring, please meet the recommended PC and network specifications.

For optimal monitoring, it is not recommended for multiple proctors to gather in the same location.

Scenario

Recommended Bandwidth

Proctors are monitoring remotely

Number of test-takers × 5 Mbps

Proctors are gathered in one place

Number of test-takers × 5 Mbps × Number of proctors

  • You can check your network speed using fast.com.

  • Each person in the proctor room requires 5 Mbps of bandwidth.

    • Example: If 10 candidates are being monitored by a proctor, the required speed is 50 Mbps per proctor.

  • It is not recommended to have multiple proctors sharing the same Wi-Fi connection.

  • If a proctor is monitoring a large number of test-takers, consider using the rotational proctoring feature.

Please carefully review the following instructions before participating as a proctor.

  • The candidate’s full face and upper body should be clearly visible and occupy at least 50% of the screen.

  • If the webcam feed is too dark, ask the candidate to adjust the lighting.

  • The mobile phone should be positioned 1 meter away from the candidate, at a height of ~0.8 meters, on either the left or right side.

  • Place the phone on the side opposite the writing hand.

  • The phone must be set horizontally, capturing the candidate’s side profile, both hands, monitor, and desk.

  • Guide the candidate to adjust the view if their camera angle does not match the standard.

For standardized proctoring services operated by Grepp, the default and required items in the test regulations and cheating criteria cannot be modified.

Even for tests proctored directly by companies, we recommend referring to the following information when guiding test takers.
