Click the camera icon to turn a test taker’s video feed on or off.
Click the three-dot menu at the top of the Test Takers list to:
Turn off all monitoring
Mute all chat notifications
Enable rotational proctoring mode
On the left side of the proctoring room, you can view each test taker’s connection status in the participant list.
At the top right of the Proctoring Room, you can view the number of test takers by status:
Invited: Total number of test takers invited to the test
Entered Room: Test takers who have entered the proctoring room
Video On: Test takers with active video connections
In Progress: Test takers currently taking the test
Completed: Test takers who have finished the test
On each test taker’s screen, you can also check their connection details:
Room Entry: Shows whether the test taker has entered the test environment
Video Connection: Indicates whether the video feed is connected properly
Test Window: Displays whether the test window is currently open
Click the
Filterbutton at the top of the test taker list on the left side of the Proctoring Room to view only those in specific statuses.If pre-exam verification steps (e.g., ID verification or environment video submission) are enabled, additional filter options will be available. These help you identify test takers who have not yet completed the required steps.
If a test taker’s screen is frozen or stuck in a loading state, click Sync Recording Status to refresh their proctoring screen.
When a test taker completes the test, their name will appear in gray in the participant list. If their proctoring screen is open, a message will display indicating that the test has ended.
This feature automatically cycles through a set number of test-taker screens at specified time intervals, displaying them on one screen.
Click the
Start Rotational Proctoringbutton:Search for and add the test takers you want to monitor.
Set the number of screens to display at once and the rotation interval.
(Number of screens: how many test taker screens are shown at a time
Rotation interval: how often the screens switch)
Use the buttons to manually move between the previous and next groups of test takers.
Enable “View Only Entered” to display only test takers who have entered the test environment.
Send Message
Sends a browser pop-up message to the test taker.
Sync Recording Status
Refreshes only the selected test taker’s monitoring screen.
Copy Link
Copies a direct link to the test taker’s monitoring screen for quick access.
Open Event Log
Displays the test taker’s environment log, including test entry, pre-test access, screen sharing, webcam/mic connection attempts, and their success or failure timestamps.
Proctors can review each test taker’s PC System Check results.
Open Management Page
Opens the individual management page for the test taker.
Change Extra TimeYou can give more time to test takers who require an extension.Extra time must be entered in seconds.
Allow Monito+ ExceptionAvailable only for tests with Monito+ enabled.Test takers granted this option can access and take the test without Monito+-related restrictions.
Finish Test
Forcefully ends the test taker’s test.
Click the
ID card iconnext to each Test Takers’s name to view the submitted ID.A red dot on the ID card icon indicates that the ID has been submitted.
If the ID is not clearly visible or appears invalid, request the Test Takers to re-submit their ID.
After verifying the Test Takers’s identity, check
No Issuesand clickSaveto record the verification.
Click the
person iconnext to the Test Takers’s name to view the submitted surroundings check video.A red dot on this icon indicates that the surroundings video (initial or re-submitted) has been uploaded.
From the Pre-Test Verification tab, you can manually check and save any issues with the Test Takers’s :

Blank paper (if allowed)
The surroundings video must cover 6 camera angles:
4 horizontal and 2 vertical
If blank paper is allowed, 2 additional steps are required to show the front and back of the paper.
Use the ⏮ Previous / ⏭ Next buttons in the video player to quickly jump to each angle.
You can review videos at speeds ranging from 0.5x to 5x for convenience.
If the submitted video is unclear or missing required angles, request a re-upload, specifying the missing views or problems.
You can exchange real-time chat messages with test takers.
Before the test starts, proctors must add the chats for the test takers they are responsible for so that no inquiries coming into the proctor chat are missed.
When all inquiries from a test taker have been resolved, click Mark as Resolved to change the chat status to Completed.
In the chat list, chats are organized and displayed by their current status.
In the proctoring room, you can split the chat area by clicking the + icon in the middle of the left side. When using split view, you can adjust the size of each chat by dragging the divider between them.
You can send individual messages to Test Takers.
Since the message feature does not allow two-way communication, use it only in exceptional situations.
The chat function is generally recommended for communication.
If a test taker shares only part of their screen or uses multiple monitors, the system automatically detects it and displays alerts in the Abnormalities tab.
Use the search bar to quickly find and review specific test takers.
If AI proctoring is enabled, you can also review AI-detected abnormalities.
Click the icon on the right to view abnormality alerts.

Add Abnormality Detection Rules & Automatically Block the Test Screen.
You can set custom rules to detect abnormal behaviors and automatically block the test screen when a test taker violates them.
To enable this feature, please contact your enterprise support channel.
Use the Anomaly Notes feature to record any irregularities that occur during the test.
Click the memo icon under the test taker's name → Select the anomaly type and enter any additional notes → Click Complete Memo.
Suspected Cheating Feature
If the note relates to a suspected case of cheating, check the Suspected Cheating box before completing the memo. This will flag the note as a suspected cheating incident.
When writing a memo, the test taker’s screen automatically scrolls into view.
If you need to chat, click the chat icon at the top to jump to the test taker’s chat.
Use the three-dot icon next to the chat to quickly access related functions.
Likewise, when chatting with a test taker, their screen will automatically scroll into view.
If you need to write a memo, click the memo icon at the top to jump to the test taker’s memo section.
Regular Proctors
Can edit and delete memos they wrote.
Proctoring Managers
(e.g., test admins, team members, or proctors with viewer permissions)
Can edit and delete any memo, regardless of who wrote it.
Even after the exam, you can review memos along with the recorded video of the Test Taker.
The Time Shift feature allows proctors to rewind a test taker’s video feed and review earlier moments of the test—even during live monitoring.
In the proctoring room, open the test taker’s wide view to use this feature.
For test takers who have started the test, a Real-time / Time Shift toggle will appear. Click Time Shift to view past footage.
(Note: Time Shift is unavailable for test takers who haven’t started the test, or if more than 30 minutes have passed since the test ended.)
Use the playback bar below the wide view to:
Drag the playhead to a specific time, or
Click the 15-second skip forward/backward buttons to review footage.
When switching to Time Shift mode, the view automatically refreshes. To update and return to the latest footage, simply click the button again.
Time Shift allows you to view footage from up to 1 hour before the test began (if the camera was on) through to the current moment.
(e.g., If the test started at 3:00 PM, video from 2:00 PM onward will be available.)
Time Shift is available until 30 minutes after the test ends.
After that, you’ll need to review the recorded video files for each test taker.
The playback bar includes bookmarks for key events, such as:
Test start time
Proctor memos
Test pause/resume actions
