Register/reserve announcements
Using the announcement feature, you can send important messages to all candidates either before or during the test. - You can use the Proctoring Room features. - In the Proctoring Room, open the test taker’s menu and click Finish Test. - Once the test is ended, the test taker will not be able to re-enter. Please make sure to confirm with the test taker that all answers have been checked before ending the test. - Answers will be saved automatically when the test ends. However, for coding tests, test takers must click the Submit button for each question before the test is automatically terminated.A test taker appears as “Test screen closed” but the test is still in progress. What does this mean?
This status usually indicates that the test taker manually closed the browser where the test page was open. In this case, the test is considered exited by the test taker. However, since they can reopen the browser and rejoin the test, we recommend continuously monitoring their camera status until the test ends to check if the video connection is restored.A test taker's camera shows as “Loading.” What should I do?
First, check the network connection being used and refresh the Proctoring Room page to see if the camera loads correctly. If the issue persists after refreshing, ask the test taker to reconnect their camera. If the problem still isn’t resolved, please contact us via Channel Talk (the chat icon at the bottom right corner of the screen).What should I do if a test taker's video device is not working properly during the test?
- Click "Reset Devices" at the top left of the test screen to move to the connection setup step. Guide the test taker to reconnect their video device from there. - You can also check the disconnected devices via the icons in the right-hand menu, which provide a direct link to the reconnection step.I want to give a test taker more time.
You can grant additional time to a test taker who has already started the test by using the [Give More Time] feature. - Click the test taker’s name in the test taker list to open their detail page, then click the Give More Time button. - You can also give extra time from the proctoring room. Can’t find the button? The [Give More Time] button is only visible when the test taker is currently taking the test. Please check the test taker’s status. Enter the extra time in seconds, then click Confirm.What should I do if a test taker’s microphone isn’t working properly?
If the test taker’s webcam microphone is not functioning correctly, you can allow them to take the test without using a microphone by adjusting the settings. In the test taker management page, set the “Test without microphone” option to Allowed. The test taker will then be able to proceed without microphone access.A test taker accidentally ended the test. Can they start it again?
If a test taker accidentally ended the test, the admin can restart the test for them. Once the test taker reconnects, the full test time will be given again (e.g., if the original time limit was 2 hours, they’ll get 2 hours again), and any previously submitted code will remain saved. Click the Restart button on the left side of the test taker’s page. Don’t see the button? It will not appear if the test period has ended or the test taker hasn’t actually ended the test.
